| Mac OS 8.5 - 9.1 Setup for Remote Access | ||

To setup your Remote Access on Mac OS 8.5 - 9.1, please follow the directions below: 1. Start from your desktop and click on the Apple in the upper-left corner. Go down to Control Panels and select Remote Access.
2. On the Remote Access Control Panel make sure the arrow next to "Setup" is pointing down. If not, click on it once to make it point down. There are 3 pieces of information that need to be entered on this screen:
3. Click on the RemoteAccess drop-down menu and select TCP/IP. (Note: The Remote Access Control Panel must be the active window in order to see the RemoteAccess menu.)
4. In the TCP/IP window, make sure of the following 4 settings:
Close out of this window and save your changes.
5. Click on the RemoteAccess drop-down menu and select Modem. (Note: The Remote Access Control Panel must be the active window in order to see the RemoteAccess menu.)
6. In the Modem window, make sure of the following 2 settings:
Close out of this window and save your changes.
7. You are now ready to connect. On the Remote Access Control Panel, click the Connect button to actually make the connection. (Optional) Setting Computer to Automatically Dial When Launching a TCP/IP Application (i.e. Netscape, Internet Explorer, Eudora) 1. On the Remote Access Control Panel, click the Options Button.
2. On the Options window, make sure the Protocol tab is selected. Check the box labels "Connect automatically when starting TCP/IP applications." Press OK.
