E-mail Setup and Configuration
There are a number of E-mail clients available today (Eudora,
Netscape Communicator, Microsoft Outlook, etc.) Each one has a
slightly different way to enter your e-mail information. Because of
this, you may need to refer to your setup instructions, or help
files that came with your particular email program.
There are two main settings required to send and receive E-mail.
- POP3 server - "inbound" for checking your mail.
The setting for POP3 is: pop.<%=VISPDomain%>
- SMTP server - "outbound" for sending your mail.
The setting for SMTP is: smtp.<%=VISPdomain%>
Besides your username and password, the above will be all you need to start
using E-mail with <%=VISPName%>. If you received a setup CD from <%=VISPName%>,
these settings have already been setup for you in Microsoft Outlook Express.
